Santi Owen is a Senior Social Consultant with IDC. Her primary areas of expertise include monitoring and evaluation, policy and program analysis and applied social research. Santi’s work in the resource and development sectors is supported by over 15 years experience in the fields of community development, research, program evaluation and social policy affecting displaced populations, children and families. She has held positions across industries including NGO, government, research and private sectors. Her work has involved implementing a range of diverse projects, such as a social impact prefeasibility study project (Lao PDR) and a longitudinal outcomes evaluation of program intervention (Australia).
In 2012 Santi completed a doctorate in the School of Justice at the Queensland University of Technology on domestic violence in rural and remote communities in Australia. She has an honours in Applied Anthropology, diplomas in education and change management, and a certificate in workplace training and assessment.
Santi is a member of International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA), Project Management Institute (PMI) and The Australian Sociological Association (TASA)
