Adam Babatu is a Social Development Expert specializing in the Extractives Sector (Mining, Oil and Gas). The primary focus of his work has been on the socio-economic aspects of engagement, resettlement and development planning. Adam has over ten years’ experience providing technical assistance to resource companies, governments and communities in Ghana and Uganda. He has undertaken assignments with Newmont and Total E&P, and has worked in collaboration with the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining (CSRM), Triple R Alliance.
Adam holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, Massachusetts (USA); and a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility awarded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is a trained partnership broker (level 1).
